About the Role
Medicines for Europe represents the generic, biosimilar, and value-added medicines industry across Europe, advocating for sustainable access to medicines for all patients. The Head of Human Resources and Administration will lead and direct the human resources and administration department to ensure that the organisation runs efficiently by sharing a positive and productive work environment, in line with the Medicines for Europe values (Quality, Respect, Integrity, Unity, Evolution and Caring). At the same time, this function will support with coordination of the administrative and financial aspects of the association management.
Key Responsibilities
The Head of Human Resources and Administration will:
- Support the Director General and Deputy Director General in defining a structured HR policy adapted to future growth of the Association and in line with the Association’s values. This will include:
- Managing all core Human resources functions, including payroll, employee relations, HR admin, learning and growth of the team members,
- Coordinating recruitment, onboarding and orientation for all new employees.
- Supporting the organisational structure, including internal / external learning programmes that provide growth opportunities for team members.
- Making sure that company values and approach are utilised to strengthen the organisational culture.
- Support the Director General and Deputy Director General in administration activities, more specifically:
- Oversee office budget, expenses, and financial reports.
- Oversee insurance and building management.
- Oversee work health and safety regulations.
Ideal Candidate Profile
- Minimum 8-10 years of experience in a Human Resources role.
- Solid knowledge of Belgian labour law.
- Fluent level of English, both spoken and written. French is a plus.
- Ability to work independently, with both a strategic and operational approach.
- Attentive, with perspective and a real team spirit. Curious and open-minded, you foster an inclusive and positive work environment.
- Ability to act with discretion, tact, and professionalism in all situations.
- Dynamic, proactive, autonomous and with a “can-do” mentality
- Comfortable working in a multi-cultural, international environment.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications such as Word, PowerPoint, Excel, and similar software
