Mr. Bongani Mshibe is an experienced Corporate Affairs and Government Relations Executive Director, with a demonstrated history of working in the FMCG and automotive industries. Skilled in Strategy Development, Business Planning, Negotiation, Stakeholder Engagement, Community Development, Marketing Communications, Market Research, Senior Executive Management. A strong business development professional with a Bachelor of Commerce Degree in Marketing Management, Business Management and Marketing Communications & Advertising. In addition, an Advanced Programme in Project Management from the University of South Africa.
In 2004, he joined The McCarthy Group as an Executive Management Trainee. In 2006, He moved onto The South African Breweries, where he remained for nine years in various management roles within Trade Marketing and Corporate Affairs.
He was later head-hunted to join BMW Group South Africa in 2015 and was responsible for External Affairs and Government Relations for South Africa & Sub-Saharan Africa, reporting to the CEO. In 2018, he was approached to join the ExCom of the multi-national company, Japan Tobacco International, in the capacity of Director, Corporate Affairs & Communications (South, East & Central Africa).
Mr. Mshibe has served on various industry bodies in the automotive industry, National and Provincial Government task teams, Gauteng Provincial Government Automotive Task Team, Electric Vehicle Industry Association Steering Committee, Business Leadership South Africa Council, Department of Small Business Development Gazelles Program Steering Committee & Director at the Tobacco Institute of Southern Africa.
In 2023, he was appointed the Chairperson of the Ruth First Memorial Trust, which provides scholarships to deserving girls and affording them the opportunity to further their education at Jeppe High School For Girls.
Mr. Mshibe is currently, Founder & CEO of 100% Black-owned Donda Legacy Group. DLG is a holding company for subsidiaries in Business Consulting, Agricultural Development, Mining & Energy.
