The Role
We are looking for an experienced and motivated Manager to strengthen our Sustainability & Energy practice. The successful candidate will lead high-impact projects in the sustainability, circularity, energy, and industrial transformation landscape, including work related to strategic value chains, managing key accounts, coordinating multidisciplinary teams, and contributing to business development. You will report directly to senior management and work closely with colleagues across public affairs, communications, and association management.
Key Responsibilities
Public Affairs – Energy, Climate & Sustainability Focus
- Lead and manage corporate and association accounts, supervising teams of consultants.
- Develop and implement advocacy strategies tailored to EU-level policy objectives and aligned with EU policy priorities on sustainability, energy, and industrial competitiveness.
- Build and maintain strong client relationships and stakeholder networks across the sustainability and energy ecosystem.
- Draft policy briefings, position papers, and strategic documents.
- Monitor and analyse relevant policy developments and regulatory changes.
- Represent clients at key policy events, EU forums, and stakeholder meetings.
- Collaborate on integrated projects involving public affairs, communications, and association management.
- Support business development by identifying opportunities and contributing to pitches and proposals.
Profile of the Ideal Candidate
- 5 years of relevant experience in EU public affairs, preferably in consultancy, trade associations, corporate, or institutional roles.
- Expertise in EU sustainability, circularity, energy, and industrial policy, or strategic value chains is a strong asset.
- Experience with association work is a strong asset.
- Fluent in English (native or equivalent); proficiency in German would be a plus.
- Confident communicator with excellent presentation and public speaking skills.
- Strong understanding of EU decision-making processes.
- Proven project management and team leadership experience.
- Proactive and adaptable with a collaborative, can-do attitude.
- Entrepreneurial mindset and business development acumen.
- Ability to distil complex technical topics into clear messages for diverse audiences.
- Strong interpersonal and consensus-building skills.
- Eligible to work in the EU.
