The organisation:

The European Biodiesel Board (EBB) is a Brussels-based non-profit organization established in 1997, grouping the major European Union (EU) biodiesel producers. The EBB represents an industry at the heart of almost all hot-button issues discussed today. From climate change to international trade and energy to agriculture, if there is an issue you’ve been reading about, there’s a good chance EBB is affected.

  • Coordinate other relevant communication activities;
  • Support the EBB Policy Manager with:
    • preparation of the EBB EU Affairs Working Group meetings;
    • liaising with the European Parliament, Council and Commission;

Profile

  • A Master’s Degree;
  • A minimum 3-5 years of relevant and proven hands-on experience in media relations and creating communication content to support organisational goals;
  • A passion for communicating, including eagerness to use and familiarity with standard communication software and social media;
  • Excellent writing and proof-reading skills, and the ability to present complex technical matters simply;
  • Creativity, attention to detail, and the ability to take initiative and flourish in a fast-paced and dynamic environment;
  • Fluent spoken and written English (other EU languages an asset);
  • Knowledge of EU institutions and decision-making processes;
  • Previous experience in transport, fuels or bioenergy related industries might be considered as additional asset;
  • Flexibility, and the ability to work well both individually, and as part of a team.

  • This job offers you the chance to grow as you gain expertise that would be hard to get elsewhere in the same amount of time;
