About the role
Your responsibilities
To represent corporate interests at European level, its team maintains a representation office in the heart of Brussels. The management of the office includes the central responsibility for the political communication and liaison with the European institutions as well as leading a team of three employees. The position is located in the Government Relations / Political Affairs team and is part of the international communications department.
Main tasks include:
- Identification of upcoming EU legislative procedures and involvement in relevant political processes for the corporation
- Participation in aligning corporate positions with all relevant stakeholders within the Group as well as ongoing updates on relevant developments
- Maintenance of a high-level network with the EU Commission, Council of Ministers, and European Parliament
- Representation of the Group in European committees
- Coordination of political work on EU-relevant topics within the corporation
- Arrangement and preparation of Executive Board meetings in Brussels (high-level discussions, bilateral meetings, etc.) as well as the organization of events
- Contact person for inquiries from the political sphere
Your profile
- University degree
- Several years of experience in an international and complex environment of companies, administration or parliament, as well as in the political environment of Brussels and an existing effective network in Brussels
- Highly developed communication skills and confident appearance at various hierarchical levels and in the European political environment
- In-depth knowledge of EU legislative procedures or the functioning of EU institutions
- Several years of experience and confident appearance in public appearances in front of an international audience, e.g. in presenting lectures, panel discussions, and political events
- Business fluent English skills required
- Flexibility and willingness to travel
- Proficiency in another European language
