MAIN MISSION OF THE ROLE:

As Director Regulatory Affairs, you will be defining, developing, and leading Geopost’s regulatory policy on a global level, taking into account the specificity of the organization, and the principles and policies related to core regulatory matters. The role also involves managing global lobbying activities, analyzing regulatory issues, representing the company in all relevant fora, and coordinating regulatory affairs across the Group’s various Business Units.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – AT GROUP LEVEL:

Develop Global Lobbying Activities

  • Analyze regulatory challenges and their potential impact on Geopost’s activities.
  • Provide strategic guidance to Group leadership and Business Units.
  • Define Geopost’s position in coordination with Business Units and internal teams.
  • Implement lobbying actions and defend Geopost’s interests with regulatory authorities in Europe and globally.
  • Represent Geopost before governmental bodies, professional associations, and at conferences or public speaking events.
  • Organize and coordinate external engagement of Geopost by the company’s internal spokespersons, and provide advice and training to C-level executives on their lobbying and influence activities.
  • Collaborate and align directly with the CEO on the advocacy-related responsibilities.

Establish an Organizational Framework for Supporting Geopost’s Development

  • Build a network of regulatory affairs professionals within the respective Business Units.
  • Develop, organize, and manage regulatory monitoring tools in key regions (Middle East, Russia, Asia, Africa, North America, Europe).
  • Select and manage external providers and internal resources on regulatory affairs needs.
  • Foster the regulatory affairs community and coordinate actions with the Legal and Compliance departments.
  • Oversee the coordination of Geopost’s interactions with associations, intergovernmental organizations, or United Nations agencies.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES – AT THE NATIONAL LEVEL:

  • Organize and coordinate lobbying activities with ministries, NGOs, associations, and regulators in Geopost’s key countries of operation.
  • Coordinate regulatory lobbying efforts at the European and international levels on topics related to food (FAO, Codex Alimentarius, European Commission, etc.) and health.

  • All departments contributing with their expertise to the development of corporate positions (sustainability, finance, customs, etc.).
  • Business Units, particularly Regulatory Affairs Representatives.

Education and experience:

  • Master’s degree or higher in law, international affairs, public affairs, political science, or equivalent.
  • Solid proven experience (min. 7 years) in regulatory affairs, lobbying, or a similar role, ideally in the transportation or logistics sector.
