Schneider is looking for a Director “EU Government Affairs”, with focus on Environment, Sustainable Finance and Digital. The objective is to identify in the Brussels EU regulatory opportunities according to our business and innovation strategy, with a focus on -but not restricted to- sustainability and digital topics at European level e.g. Fit for 55 package, EU taxonomy, Cybersecurity and Data policies.



  • You will be promoting the company’s business interest toward EU institutions with a priority focus on sustainable energy and digital;
  • You will partner closely with business and operations teams to deliver value through government relations under the supervision of the VP for EU Government Affairs;
  • As a comfortable communicator and influencer, you will use your in-depth knowledge of EU institutions, legislative process and environmental focus to provide policy and legislative analyses as well as devising and implementing advocacy and lobbying strategies;
  • In this role, you will be the key stakeholder and main point of contact for our businesses, operations, and corporate departments to develop key business priorities to be reflected in the regulatory framework;
  • Lead the development of our advocacy and outreach activities and support internal colleagues with expertise;
  • Help various teams in Schneider Electric to develop the relevant strategy toward major policy development occurring in Europe.


Preferred Skills and Experience

  • Senior experience in EU government relations and regulatory environments in the private or/and public sector;
  • You have proven strong consultative and interpersonal skills to work with diverse groups of internal and external individuals including businesses, trade and business associations and public institutions. Proven track record in strategic planning, execution and policy development;
  • You have demonstrated business acumen and the ability to represent a company like Schneider Electric with external constituents; you understand the dynamics of our activities and has a strong commitment to our core purpose.
