About the job
NOVE is looking for an Associate Director to lead its Sustainability Practice.
With the support of a Partner, you will play a crucial role in developing and implementing our strategy, building strong relationships with our clients and key stakeholders. Attracting new business and clients will also be one of your key roles in the sustainability practice. As a member of the senior management of NOVE, you will also be involved in the management of the agency at a key stage of its growth and development.
Role and responsibilities
- Develop and execute public affairs strategy in alignment with company goals;
- Build and maintain relationships with key stakeholders, including government officials, industry leaders, and media representatives;
- Monitor and analyse public policy developments that may impact the company and its clients;
- Develop and deliver communications and messaging to support public affairs efforts;
- Represent the company in public policy discussions and meetings;
- Lead, manage, and mentor a team of public affairs professionals;
- Contribute to the overall management and decision-making of the company;
- Play an active role in attracting new talent and hiring new people.
Qualifications and skills
- Masters’ degree in political science, economics, European affairs/studies or law;
- Minimum 5 years of experience in public affairs or related fields. Previous experience in a public affairs consultancy will be considered a strong advantage;
- A proven expertise on issues relating to sustainability and circular economy (e.g. eco-design, sustainable products, packaging, chemicals, waste or plastics);
- Strong understanding of EU institutions and regulatory processes;
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills;
- Ability to think strategically and creatively;
- Proven leadership and team management experience;
- Ability to work independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment;
- Strong positive, can-do attitude ;
- Near native level proficiency in English.
