The Organization

Fertilizers Europe represents the interests of the European fertilizer industry. They are the source of information on mineral fertilizers and the sector’s voice in Europe. The Association deals with questions related to agriculture, environment, technology, safety, economy and trade, as well as supporting the members with statistics and other information. The association’s membership comprises 17 fertilizer manufacturers from countries across the Union and eight national fertilizer associations. The association communicates with a wide variety of stakeholders, institutions, European and national policy-makers and members of the general public who seek information on fertilizer products and application technology, and topics relating to today’s agricultural, environmental and economic challenges.

The Role

  • Support activities in the areas of agriculture and environment
  • Maintain association’s contacts with the European Parliament
  • Responsibility for arguments to underpin the value of fertilizers to farmers
  • Outreach to farmers’ associations
  • Represent the association in conferences and stakeholder
  • Communicate with EU institutions and other stakeholders

The Requirements

Experience:

  • University degree in European Studies or Agriculture or closely related subject
  • Experience in a similar role in an EU environment
  • Interest and knowledge in the EU regulatory arena
  • Experience in EU public relations/lobbying
  • Knowledge of EU agriculture and environment legislation is a plus
