Position offered:

EuroCommerce is looking for an enthusiastic and collaborative team player who can also excel independently. You will work closely with EuroCommerce members across Europe, the EuroCommerce team, and various stakeholders to further the sector’s interests.

Main tasks:

  • Policy Monitoring and Analysis: Keep EuroCommerce members and team informed about latest developments in Single Market & Consumer policy.
  • Stakeholder Collaboration: Proactively work with EuroCommerce members, key stakeholders, and EU institutions to ensure the retail and wholesale sectors’ interests are well-represented in EU policy.
  • Consensus Building: Formulate policy recommendations and positions on priority issues with members; seek consensus among members that advances a strong single market for retail and wholesale.
  • Communications: Manage both internal and external communications effectively; identify and seize opportunities to promote EuroCommerce narrative.
  • Advocacy and Network expansion: Develop and maintain a robust network of contacts with members and stakeholders.
  • Committee Support: Assist in managing the EuroCommerce Committee for Digital, Single Market & Consumer Policy.

Profile

  • A relevant Master’s degree and 2-3 years of professional experience.
  • A strong interest in EU policy, with an affinity for single market and consumer policy.
  • Practical knowledge of the functioning of EU institutions and previous experience working in EU public affairs sector is an additional asset.
  • Excellent/fluent English writing and speaking, excellent presentation and analytical skills.
  • High energy and a proven ability to deliver results in a demanding environment with tight deadlines.
  • Proactive, with the ability to work both independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong interpersonal skills, capable of developing robust working relationships with EuroCommerce members and stakeholders.
